FIELD: aviation; control of boundary layer on surface of thick-section wings, mainly low-aspect-ratio wings for change of aerodynamic characteristics of flying vehicle. SUBSTANCE: method consists in increase of velocity of flow over upper surface of thick-section with. Flow incoming on upper surface of wing is directed to passage formed on upper surface of wing. Flow is accelerated by traction engine of flying vehicle mounted in passage of aft section. Additional flows of air are smoothly sucked along upper surface of wing. Device for control of boundary layer includes unit for increasing the air velocity over upper surface of wing. Device has passage communicated with incoming flow through slots transversal relative to flow. At least one traction engine is mounted in passage in aft section of wing. Passage is formed by upper surface of wing and vertical shields projecting above it and located over side edges of wing. Passage is also formed by system of flaps which connects shields forming slots transversal relative to incoming flow. Each flap has form of thin-section wing.
