SUBSTANCE: heat exchanger whose heat- transfer surface is made, for example, of carbon steel covered with heat- and corrosion-resistant coating has the latter built up of at least two layers; bottom layer contacting base metal is more compact than top and surface roughness of the latter is 2-20 times higher than that of bottom layer. EFFECT: improved efficiency and reduced cost of heat exchanger.
