FIELD: search for noble metals. SUBSTANCE: invention deals with processes of determination of content of noble metals in the form of particles in porous media. Given process makes it possible to find content of noble metals in sample of sand carrying particles of noble metals with sizes from 0.02 mm to 0.5 mm and more and to determine kind of metal and mass of each individual particle in sample. Process involves passage of sample of sand through tube which carries generator frames. As soon as conducting particle passes through generator frame eddy currents creating secondary magnetic field are excited in it. This field is received by receiving frame and active and reactive components of secondary magnetic field are measured. These data are converted to digital form with the use of analog-to-digital converter and are used to compute conductance, size and mass of registered particle. On termination of passage of sand masses of all registered particles are summed and content of gold in sample is found by that. EFFECT: reduced labor input to analysis of samples. 2 cl, 1 dwg
