FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves preincubation treatment of hen eggs containing different quantities of vitamin A in egg yolk with light of He-Ne laser of 632.8 nanometer wave length, with optical flux intensity of 50 mw/sq.cm, exposure time of 3 min by means of gas-discharge lamp of 630-650 nanometer wave length, average dose of 23.1 erg on eggs surface, with exposure time of 5 min, and ultraviolet lamp of 400/185 nanometer wave length, average dose of 20 merg/hour for 3 min and their complex action within 3 min exposure time for each device upon embryonic vitality, depending on egg weight, yield of one-day aged chickens, dynamics of postembryonal development and further egg-laying capacity. Maximum extent of stimulating action of light wave within red light band on physiological bird growth and development factors is stated, when content of vitamin A in egg yolk is within the range of 10.8-11.2 mkg/g. EFFECT: increased efficiency and provision for obtaining reliable data. 3 tbl
