FIELD: emergency automatic control of power systems. SUBSTANCE: method involves determination of setting angle in any emergency situation. To this end, acceleration dδ/dt2 and moment of its drop to zero are additionally measured, angle δ1 is recorded, and setting angle is determined as difference π-δ1; if acceleration is other than zero, OFF- signal is passed when angle equals π/2.
