FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: gear is designed to cut holes of specified trajectory, rectilinear or curvilinear, in ground by way of its compaction. Technical objective of proposal is increased reliability and accuracy in control over motion of impact action gear while driving holes in ground thanks to self-alignment of elements of control independent of angular position of case. Gear has case housing striker, shell hinged to case and forming cavity together with it, pneumatic chambers made of elastic material with individual feed of compressed air located in above-mentioned cavity. Gear is fitted with ring casing mounted on case in above-mentioned cavity for rotation. Pneumatic chambers in this case are linked to casing and center of gravity of casing with chambers is displaced relative to longitudinal axis of gear.
