FIELD: measurement of mass flow rate of two-phase flow containing oil, water and gas from sea production well. SUBSTANCE: flow is shut off for short time period with the aid of gate and pressure of medium in point located right in front of gate from time moment when it starts closing to selected moment t* after complete closing of gate is recorded. Then gate is open. Mass rate G of flow is found from equation G = ρ•u, where ρ - is density of medium, u is velocity of medium. In this case u = Δp*
f
/(ft*/4d•Δp2), where f is friction coefficient, d is diameter of pipe, Δp*
f
- is friction losses, Δpa - is pressure of pressure jump recorded at moment of complete closure of gate. In agreement with another version of implementation of process two pressure transducers are positioned at specified distance to determine velocity u of medium and velocity a of sound in fluid medium upstream and downstream of gate generating pressure pulse. Value ρ is found from equation Δpa= ρ•a•Δu,, where Δu - is change of velocity of medium. EFFECT: simultaneous measurement of density of medium and velocity of sound in process of determination of flow rate of unstable multiphase flows. 4 cl, 6 dwg
