FIELD: entertaining industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves providing lottery tickets; making playing marks on tickets; providing opaque masks covering playing marks; spreading tickets among players; verifying tickets for authenticity during dispensing of gains. Identification signs are applied to ticket surface for preventing them from being imitated. Identification signs are applied to places adjacent to opaque masks by means of ink, which changes its color in daytime when brought into contact with oxygen in air. Directly upon applying of ink, playing mark and ink spot are covered with opaque hermetically sealing mask. Upon realization of ticket and removal of mask, time of removal of mark is determined and compared to time indicated by ticket owner, and dynamics of changing of mark color is watched and compared to reference color. Method may be used for performing instantaneous lotteries having to do with large sums of money. EFFECT: simplified method and improved protection of lotteries from imitation tickets. 2 cl, 1 ex
