FIELD: aircraft engine manufacture. SUBSTANCE: thrust reversal unit of turbofan engine has hollow swivel doors 3 integrated into external first-in-flow fairing of nacelle in forward thrust and opposing deflection of gas flow during thrust reversal in which case they form buckets. Movable part forming fairing 23 occurs during forward thrust between first-in-flow edge of swivel door 3 and first-in-flow fixed structure 6 which covers last-in-flow structure part of front frame 8. First-in-flow fairing 23 is hinged to fixed structure of unit and coupled with displacement control facilities. During thrust reversal this fairing opens last-in-flow structure part of front frame 8 incorporating airfoil surface for controlling gas flow being reversed. EFFECT: improved aerodynamic characteristics of swivel doors. 12 cl, 14 dwg
