FIELD: cryogenic engineering; cryogenic refrigerating machines working by reverse Stirling cycle; production and storage of liquefied natural gas. SUBSTANCE: natural gas at excessive pressure from main pipe line passes through check valve, throttle valve and expansion reservoir; it is preliminarily cooled and is admitted to condenser of refrigerating machine for liquefaction. Liquefied gas is drained by gravity to Dewar flask and then it is fed to heat-insulated reservoir by means of hinge-pressure pump through check valve. Vapor of liquefied gases is formed in upper portion of reservoir due to external heat gain. As soon definite pressure has been built up, safety valve operates which is indicative for disconnection of natural gas supply line from main. As a result, high-pressure gaseous vapor enters condenser of Stirling refrigerating machine through intake device, safety valve, check valve, throttle valve and expansion reservoir. In condenser vapor is recondensed and is drained into reservoir. EFFECT: possibility of protected storage of liquefied natural gas. 1 dwg
