FIELD: air cleaning facilities. SUBSTANCE: proposed invention provides intensified precipitation of particles of any size, especially those capable of coagulation, irrespective of quality of charge. According to first design version, electrostatic precipitator has housing, negative corona- forming electrodes, settling electrodes in form of endless dielectric tapes driven by driving grounded pulleys. Upper driven pulleys with dielectric coating are symmetrically displaced to axis along which negative corona- forming electrodes are arranged, thus forming trapezium-shaped space of settling zone with smaller side of trapezium in upper area of settling electrodes. Tapes in dust-settling zone are arranged on grounded metal electrodes with dielectric coating. Positive corona-forming electrodes are connected to additional high-voltage source. Grounded dust-removing rotating brushes are arranged outside dust-settling zone. Intake hopper is designed for removing dust from electrostatic precipitator. According to second design version, electrostatic precipitator consists of system of negative corona-forming electrodes assembled of separate sections, each independently connected to source of high voltage differing in values of output voltage. Electric potential of separate sections increases from lower section to upper one. EFFECT: intensified process of air cleaning. 3 cl, 2 dwg
