SUBSTANCE: aliphatic hydrocarbons are subjected to liquid-phase alkylation by olefin hydrocarbons in presence of sulfonic acid adsorbed on granulated inert material employed as fixed bed. Reaction mixture withdrawn from the first stage is transferred into the intermediate stage, from which part of reaction mixture is withdrawn and subjected to the second-stage alkylation.
