FIELD: oil producing industry; applicable in oil recovery by waterflooding of formation and use of organosilicon compounds. SUBSTANCE: method includes injection into formation of organosilicon compound chemically inert and/or active relative to formation rocks, water and additionally oil-displacing substance. The latter is used in the form of solvents or compositions based on surfactants. Organosilicon compound chemically inert relative to formation rock is used in the form of silicone block copolymer with alkylenoxide groupings or polymethylsiloxane. Chemically active organosilicon compound is used, mainly, in the form of water-repellent fluids, hydridepolysiloxanes or ethyl orthosilicates. EFFECT: increased oil recovery due to higher coefficient of oil displacement from water-washed and oil-saturated intervals and engagement of stagnant and poorly drained formation zones. 4 cl, 1 tbl, 2 ex
