SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the composition eliciting antiseptic properties and including an antiseptic agent miramystin, sodium chloride isotonic solution or sodium chloride solution of increased viscosity. Increased viscosity is provided by addition of different modified species of cellulose (preferably, hydroxyethylcellulose) as gel-forming agent. Developed composition has no toxic effect on eye mucosa and body of animals. Composition shows high effectiveness in treatment of experimental suppurative conjunctivitis and provides treatment of infectious lesions of eye.
