FIELD: oil industry. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to recovery of oil from inhomogeneous pool with use of focus or beyond outline water flooding. Portions of polymers swelling in fresh and mineralized water injected in sequence are used in the capacity of aqueous solution of polymer. Buffer composed of fresh water with alkali is pumped between portions. Polymers in each portion are presented by two kinds of polymers as minimum. Time of swelling to maximum size of each next kind of polymer exceeds time of swelling to maximum size of each preceding kind of polymer. EFFECT: increased recovery of oil from pool thanks to enlargement of its scope. 3 dwg, 1 tbl
