FIELD: capacitor-type ignition systems for carburetor engines. SUBSTANCE: system has voltage changer 1 and unbalanced bridge circuit connected to the latter through full-wave rectifier 2 and capacitive filter 10; storage capacitors 3 and 4 are connected across two opposite arms of bridge circuit and thyristors 6 and 7, across two other opposite arms; primary winding of ignition coil 5 shorted out by means of back diode 11 is connected across diagonally opposite output terminals of bridge; gate electrodes of thyristors 6 and 7 are connected to secondary windings of pulse transformers 13 and 14, respectively, their primary windings being connected to direct and inverting outputs of T flip-flop 9 whose complementing input is connected through shaper 12 to contacts of chopper 8. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of system without reducing maximum rate of spark formation. 2 cl, 1 dwg
