FIELD: technique for measuring product levels in reservoir at manufacturing processes. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes super-high frequency range antenna directed to reservoir. Low power source of super-high frequency range sends signal to antenna, low power receiver of super-high frequency range signal receives reflected signal. Measuring unit connected with source and receiver initiates transmission of super-high frequency range signal and judges product level according to received reflected signal. Output unit connected with two-wire closed system for automatically controlling process transmits information concerning product level in closed system. Power unit connected with two-wire closed system for automatically controlling process receives energy of said system for energizing transmitter and also source and receiver of super-high frequency range signals. EFFECT: reduced power, simplified design due to elimination of additional wiring. 11 cl, 2 dwg
