FIELD: electronic clock that can be used for time metering of sport competitions and trainings, as well as in other fields of human active life, where fixation of fixed time intervals is required. SUBSTANCE: the sporting timer has a microprocessor with ports of data input and output electrically coupled to the power supply, start button, stop start button, stop and reset button, digital indicator and an acoustic signalizer, as well as time interval set-point devices, operation periods quantity set- point device, toggle switch for reversing the direction of time count, and an ON/OFF toggle switch of preliminary signal of readiness to operation, electrically coupled via a data busbar to the set-point devices of time intervals and to the data input port of the microprocessor, as well as a double-duty "start/stop" button electrically coupled to the microprocessor external interrupt input. The time interval and operation periods quantity set-point devices are made in the form of digital-lever position switches, the digital presentation and the acoustic signaling are electrically coupled via the data busbar to the data output port of the microprocessor, the reset button is electrically coupled to the reset input of the microprocessor. All this makes it possible to determine the pure reference time at competitions, give preliminary signals for preparation to work in accordance with the requirements of rules of referee work, prevent errors of untimely beginning of operation period.
