FIELD: construction engineering; flexible curtains moving in horizontal or vertical planes. SUBSTANCE: device has flexible curtain whose side edges are placed in two vertical guides and driving facilities providing for moving this curtain up and down between open and closed positions. Driving facilities are made for applying pushing force to curtain for its displacement from closed position in longitudinal direction along side edges. Side edges proper or in combination with stiffening facilities located in immediate proximity to them are incompressible in their longitudinal direction so as to prevent curtain deformation when pushing force is applied to it in direction of its movement in direction of closing. Longitudinal edges or stiffening facilities are made in the form of set of rigid hinged members which ensure their incompressibility in longitudinal direction. EFFECT: provision for dispensing with strengthening and weighting members at bottom part of curtain. 31 cl, 34 dwg
