FIELD: seismic prospecting. SUBSTANCE: anomalous regions of entropy effects of spectral composition of fronts of longitudinally reflected and passing waves caused by active action of oil and gas fields in section on wave fields are exposed by way of conversion of observed fields in function of time distribution of shifts in frequency region by multimonochromatic conversion and subsequent series differential-integral frequency conversion. Direct finding and determination of boundaries of strike of oil and gas fields in studied sections are conducted by presence and geometry of propagation of entropy effects of longitudinally reflected wave along lines of observation profile. Such characteristics of field as effective thickness of oil-and gas-carrying pools and viscosity of fluids are evaluated by results of separate frequency analysis and energy of extracted signals of anomalies. Values of spectral density of thickness are used to form opinion on permeability and open porosity of enclosing rocks. EFFECT: enhanced authenticity of method.
