METHOD OF PURGING FURNACE CHARGING SEALING LOCKS Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: heat treatment of metals; purging inlet sealing locks of continuous metal bright-annealing furnaces. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes bleeding part of shielding furnace gas and purging the locks with this gas. Bleeding part of shielding furnace gas is effected from bleeder of continuous metal bright-annealing surfaces; this part of gas is mixed with fresh shielding gas at definite ratio after which it is fed for purging the inlet locks of continuous furnaces for bright annealing of wire bindles. Fresh shielding gas is bled from bleeder of N₂-800П units of gas shielding station. EFFECT: reduced consumption of fresh shielding gas required for purging the inlet locks of continuous furnaces; partial stabilization of pressure in working volume of furnace. 1 dwg, 1 ex
