FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: vacuum unit has vacuum pump and oil catch provided with filter and adapted for recovery of oil got into discharge pipe during operation of vacuum pump. Oil is periodically conveyed from oil catch via pipeline into collector with settler. Discharge pipes are inclined toward oil catch to facilitate flowing of oil from discharge pipes from vacuum pump and damper. Vacuum unit is used in milking apparatus of dairy farms. Construction of vacuum unit reduces contamination of animal farm with oil. EFFECT: increased efficiency and simplified construction. 3 cl, 1 dwg
