PROCESS FOR MULTIPOINT RESISTANCE WELDING OF REINFORCEMENT GAUZES Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: wire gauze production, possibly building industry branch, in plants for making reinforcement or ferroconcrete products. SUBSTANCE: coils with wound wire for lengthwise rods are placed in rotatably mounted coil holders whose number is equal to maximum number of lengthwise rods of gauze. Coil with wire for crosswise rods is placed in coil holder rotatably mounted with possibility of freely uncoiling wire turn-by-turn while wire embraces coil at uncoiling. Power shaft with pressure rollers is mounted with possibility for providing traction effort for uncoiling wire of coils for lengthwise rods, for moving it along guiding tubes and straightening in roller straightening apparatuses. Shaft for feeding wire of crosswise rods by length value set for each rod is mounted with possibility for creating traction effort for uncoiling wire and straightening it in straightening apparatuses. In resistance welding machine upper electrodes are placed on each cross bar in such a way that they are mutually spaced by distance corresponding to pitch between lengthwise rods of respective gauze. Welding transformers are connected to lower electrode holders with possibility for connecting each welding transformer to electric current supply circuit in dependence upon pitch between lengthwise rods of gauze and its width. Invention allows to make gauzes of different width and length with different pitch between lengthwise rods of gauzes, possibly of the same gauze. Diameter and length of rods are also may be different. EFFECT: enlarged using range and assortment of gauzes. 3 cl, 9 dwg
