FIELD: transport machine engineering, namely braking systems of transport vehicles. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of making air- intake vanes being extensions of interduct partitions in hollow braking disc with interduct partitions and openings arranged along concentric circles in braking paths of disc; in order to remove heat from disc, providing dynamics of air flows passing along radial ducts and through openings in braking paths between disc and braking shoes. It allows to destroy flat swirl and to eliminate contact friction between disc and braking shoes. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of cooling, lowered wear of friction cover plates, improved safety of transport vehicle. 3 dwg
