HYDRAULIC LOCK Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: marine engineering; self-propelled objects (torpedoes, underwater rockets, etc.) placed inside carrying containers. SUBSTANCE: hydraulic lock has body, shut-off bush, piston with rod fixed by ball lock. Shut-off bush has the following holes: radial holes for balls and vertical holes for plungers which are communicated with holes for balls; plungers are kept in initial position by means of fork-shaped washers secured on body; when piston sealed by rubber rings presses these washers, ball lock opens; piston moves over body and rod and after opening of lock it moves together with rod when pressure is delivered under it form container whose neck is provided with hydraulic lock. Rubber rings available on body of hydraulic lock provide for tight fitting of it in neck; cover with rubber ring provides for tightness of neck on outer side of container. Threaded end of rod is provided with stop fitted with key whose lower part received by seat of object is made in form of truncated cone or pyramid. Thus, device not provided with load-bearing member ensures reliable locking of object and releases it when pressure is delivered from this object. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 2 cl, 1 dwg
