FIELD: electric communication, computer technology, specifically, cryptographic methods and devices for data encoding. SUBSTANCE: iterative method of block coding includes formation of secret key, division of data block into two subblocks and execution of RR≥2 rounds of coding consisting in formation of binary vector for first subblock, conversion of binary vector and superimposition of converted binary vector on second subblock with the aid of special operation. Novelty of proposal lies in formation of additional controlling code and in employment of controllable two-position operation as special operation. Controlling code is formed by value of first subblock, by secret key and by current value of converted binary vector. Reversible two-position operation is employed in the capacity of controllable two-position operation. EFFECT: reduced number of coding rounds which results in increased rate of coding. 4 cl, 5 dwg
