TUNNELING COMPLEX Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: mining; applicable in means of mechanization of driving and supporting of mine workings. SUBSTANCE: tunneling complex includes tunneling machine with working member, brace with bracing cylinder, conveyer and manipulator with means of drilling and anchoring. Manipulators are connected with brace for turning by means of shaft secured to brace with its front end. Shaft rear end is secured with turning device to extensible supports. Shaft is connected with manipulators via movable sleeve with fixed and movable templates having regulated supports for fastening of manipulators and with devices for feed of sleeve relative to shaft and movable template relative to sleeve to fulfill function of simultaneous common feed of several drilling heads to drilling points by template according to Certificate of support and drilling and blasting operations in driving of mine workings. Regulated supports may have retainers. Manipulators may be made in form of parallelograms whose one common side is attached to fixed template and connected by adjustable tie-rod to movable template. Sides off parallelogram in initial position are parallel to axis of shaft of lining placer and located within its length. Shaft of lining placer may be hollow and connected with suction plant by means of branch pipe. Tunneling complex solves the following problems: simultaneous feed by template of turning and gripping device with drilling heads to points of hole drilling, and members of frame support to place of their installation, compact location of face equipment, selection of optimal place for mine working support depending on roof stability, exclusion of roof trampling effect, provision of self-centering of lining placer relative to working axis.
