FIELD: highway engineering. SUBSTANCE: highway is covered with vibration active water-permeable materials such as block ledgers on non-metal reinforcement and may be used under severe climate conditions for self- drying. Highway has combined water-permeable cover made of ledges. Novelty is that pre-stressed ledges are made of square-section blocks mounted on rods of non-metal reinforcement; damping device and vibration insulating gaskets are arranged on rod of non-metal reinforcement between butt-ends of blocks; space between adjacent ledges is filled with crushed stone. Method involves block assembling of ledges on rod of non-metal reinforcement, laying ledges on road base in row-by-row manner. Novelty is that blocks are bow- shaped structures; arch of ledge is leveled; ledges are longitudinally pre-stressed and mounted on road base. EFFECT: improved environmental friendliness, vibration resistance, damping characteristics, and self-drying ability; provision for dispensing with metal in structure; enhanced service life. 2 cl, 4 dwg
