FIELD: measurement technology; measurement of drilling fluid level in drilling gas and oil wells; oil, gas and other industries. SUBSTANCE: level gage has a float with multi-sectional magnet moving in non-magnetic pipe. Mounted inside pipe is potentiometric transducer made in the form of rod which is coaxial relative to non-magnetic pipe. Fitted on outer surface of rod are at least two spiral made from insulating string; thus-formed grooves are used for laying two spirals of high-resistance conductor. Movable current collector is made in the form of bush manufactured from insulating material and used for mounting the circular magnetic circuit and spring-loaded contact brushed. EFFECT: facilitated manufacture; enhanced reliability for operation in aggressive media under severe conditions. 3 cl, 4 dwg
