FIELD: oil industry; transportation of gas, oil and oil products by pipes. SUBSTANCE: proposed method of cleaning of inner space of gas pipeline comes to pushing gel-like viscoelastic piston along inner space of gas pipeline by gas. Pushing is carried out at backpressure of 0.1-0.3 MPa by pumping the gas into gas pipeline from side of gas outlet. EFFECT: improved quality of cleaning of gas pipeline. 1 tbl
