FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for measurement and test of parameters of liquids in reservoirs and can find use in petroleum refining and other branches of industry. Indicating device incorporates transceiving converters with reflectors coupled through transceiving unit to generator of sounding pulses. Reflectors are positioned at different distances from receiving-emitting surfaces of piezoelectric converters which are connected to transceiving unit by means of one communication line. Transceiving unit is coupled through switch to amplifier which output is connected to inputs of unit of comparators, four other inputs of amplifier are connected to four outputs of unit of univibrators and one output of it is connected to controlling input of switch. Input of unit of univibrators is connected to output of generator of sounding pulses. First output of unit of comparators is connected to relay unit and to first unit testing difference of time intervals, second output of unit of comparators is connected to first unit testing difference of time intervals and third output of unit of comparators is coupled to unit testing time intervals and to second unit testing difference of time intervals whose other input is connected to fourth output of unit of comparators. Unit testing time intervals and both units testing difference of time intervals are connected to output of generator of sounding pulses.
