ADSORPTION APPARATUS FOR GRAVIMETRIC ANALYSIS OF GAS Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: high-accuracy gravimetric analysis of gases, such as CO₂, SO₂, H₂S and NO₂ by chemical absorption by solid granulated adsorbent - ascarite, sodium hydroxide, etc. SUBSTANCE: adsorption apparatus includes glass ball-shaped test tube, glass branch pipes for supply and discharge of gas, three-way vacuum cock and connecting tube for supply of gas. Apparatus is provided with additional connecting tube for supply of gas whose one end is connected to side hole of vacuum cock which is connected in its turn to neck of test tube and to gas discharge branch pipe. Other end of additional connecting tube is connected to side hole of gas supply branch pipe. Gas supply branch pipe is soldered to bottom of test tube. One end of connecting tube is connected to hole of cone-shaped reduction of vacuum cock. Its other end is connected to lower side hole of test tube. Test tube has ball-shaped form for better contact of gas under test with solid granulated adsorbent. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of gravimetric analysis; enhanced reliability of tightness of vacuum cock polished section. 1 dwg
