FIELD: automatic control and analog computer engineering. SUBSTANCE: nonlinear converter that may be used for building functional units of analog computers, automatic monitoring and control facilities, analog processor units, and the like has differential comparator 1 whose output is connected to control input of making and breaking switches 2, 3; inputs of the latter are connected to output and input of polarity inverter 4, respectively, and outputs are interconnected and form output of nonlinear converter. Inverting input of differential comparator 1 functions as data input of nonlinear converter. Newly introduced in converter is subtractor 5 whose output and adding input are connected, respectively, to input of polarity inverter 4 and to inverting input of differential comparator 1 whose noninverting input is connected to subtracting input of subtractor 5 and functions as adjusting input of nonlinear converter. Proposed converter provides for reproducing adjustable-breakpoint V-function. EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities. 2 dwg
