FIELD: electric drives. SUBSTANCE: method involves shaping of signal for setting quasi-frequency control and synthesis conditions by means of supply voltage selector switches of induction motor, following additional operations being introduced: generation of sync pulses related to moments when supply voltage crosses zero; generation of selector-switch control signals in the form of current or voltage pulses whose length and repetition rate are factors determining polarity and number of supply-voltage half-cycles in motor supply voltage being synthesized to ensure predominance of specified harmonic and to set amplitude in motor supply voltage being synthesized.
