FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves working part surface by means of three disk-shaped tool heads containing small shots, such as bearing balls, which are fed by means of turbine into nozzle head outlet openings. Mentioned heads are attached to spindle by means of fastening head. Turbine is rotated by energy carrier supplied through turbine rib. Part working modes and conditions are cited in Specification. Method and apparatus are used for shot preening of cylindrical surfaces of parts, such as cylinder sleeves for internal combustion engines and compressors.
