FIELD: small arms, in particular, multipurpose weapon that can fire in various media (under water and on the ground) by cartridges corresponding to them (media). SUBSTANCE: single-piece dual-medium submachine gun has a barrel, receiver with the breechblock carrier and breechblock positioned in it, recoil and trigger mechanisms, gas tube, receiver cover and a spring-loaded magazine catch. At firing under water by special cartridges, type MPC, break-through of powder gases through grooves is prevented by the respective choice of the bore groove depth and pitch (at a groove pitch within 150 to 250 mm the groove depth should make up not more than 1.5 to 2% of the caliber. The catch base, that can move along the receiver and occupy the front and rear fixed positions respectively, provides for variation of the longitudinal dimensions of the receiver opening and connection of magazines with cartridges of different types, respectively. EFFECT: enhanced shot power at firing both under water and on the ground, improved operating quality of the weapon. 2 cl, 8 dwg
