FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: digging tool has two conical tips fixed to ends of telescopically connected shafts, and drive for reciprocating driven shafts along axes. Drive has two sleeves with steps on their ends. One sleeve is fixed on shaft and other sleeve is rigidly attached with its outer diameter in fork body. Tips are axially spring-loaded. Sleeves are arranged in front cylindrical part of casing and equipped with cams made in the form of rectangular triangles with longitudinal gap between them. Number of cams on movable sleeve must be equal to or multiple the number of cams on immovable sleeve. Drive sleeve is mounted on shaft through sliding sleeve. Digging tool of such construction may be used for extraction of roots. EFFECT: increased efficiency, reduced damage to roots and decreased loading of separating tools. 2 cl, 2 dwg
