APPARATUS FOR AUTOMATIC CONTROL OF WELDING HEAD POSITION Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: automatization of welding processes, particularly of electric arc gas-shield welding of dressed and angular seams under flux. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes first and second lines for controlling position of welding head. First line includes connected in series: shunt of welding circuit, pickup for measuring value of welding current; band filter tuned for oscillation frequency of electrode, synchronous detector and low frequency filter. Second line includes connected in series: pickup for measuring welding voltage, Schmitt trigger, analogous switch, inertial first-order links, comparator of analogous signals and smoothing filter. Input of pickup of scanning phase is connected with oscillator, its output is connected with second input of synchronous detector and with input for controlling analogous switch. Two outputs of analogous switch are connected with respective inputs of first and second inertial first-order links. Outputs of said links are connected with respective inputs of comparator whose output is connected through smoothing filter with first input of adder whose second input is connected with output of low-frequency filter. Output of adder is connected with input of amplifier. EFFECT: possibility for enhancing quality of welded joints at welding with short- circuiting. 2 dwg
