FIELD: oil producing industry; applicable in oil pool development with waterflooding. SUBSTANCE: method consists in forcing of gas-liquid fringe produced in formation by water due to use of gas-liberating agent, initiator of gas-liberation process, surfactant and water. Gas-liberating agent, initiator of gas-liberation process, surfactant and water are injected into formation in the form of self-foaming solution into which pH regulator slowing the reaction of gas liberation is additionally introduced. Concentration of gas-liberating agent and initiator of gas-liberation process are selected from stoichiometric relationships. Initiator of gas-liberating process introduced into self-foaming solution is used in the form of ammonium salts of inorganic acids. Gas-liberating agent introduced into self-foaming solution is used in the form of salts of alkaline metals of nitric acid or water-soluble neutral salt of carbonic acid. EFFECT: higher oil recovery due to increased coverage of pool by waterflooding. 5 cl, 3 tbl, 2 ex
