FIELD: rubber-processing industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves producing substrate from knitted fabric of cotton yarn; impregnating substrate with latex mixture and drying. Form with fabric substrate put thereon is dipped into latex mixture having relative viscosity of 30-60 s along funnel to depth not exceeding 10 cm, with following withdrawal from latex mixture and holding substrate above funnel surface for time period sufficient for recombining of latex surface layer molecules. Form is repeatedly dipped into latex mixture to depth 6-8 cm greater than previous dipping depth. Dipping into latex mixture, withdrawal and holding operations are repeated until complete submergence of the entire substrate. Excessive latex mixture is allowed to drip for 5-15 min, with following drying at 50-70 C for 30-40 min without air blowing, another drying cycle at 90-95 C combined with air blowing at air flow speed of 0.5-3.0 m/s for 60-90 min. Method allows knitted substrate to be free from impregnation with latex mixture. Gloves or mites of such structure have improved adhesion properties and may be used for protecting worker's hands from industrial injury. EFFECT: improved strength and increased efficiency of protective gloves. 1 tbl
