FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: described is polymeric composition for preparing films comprising ethylene copolymer and luminescent additive. Luminescent additive comprises particles of isomorph crystals of complex compound of europium nitrate and lanthanum nitrate with 1,10-pheneanthroline prepared by successively dissolving europium nitrate and lanthanum nitrate in isopropyl alcohol at europium nitrate to lanthanum nitrate molar ratio from 1: 0.3 to 1: 100 followed by deposition by addition of specified amount of 1,10-pheneanthroline in isopropyl alcohol, filtration off of residue and drying thereof at 100 C in vacuum, ratios of components being as follows, wt. %: ethylene copolymer, 99.00-99.98 and luminescent additive, 0.02-1.00. EFFECT: increased luminescence intensity of film made of ethylene copolymer and longer service life of luminescent additive. 1 tbl
