AERODYNAMIC CRAFT Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: shipbuilding; building sailing vessels of ground-effect craft type used for sports or transport purposes. SUBSTANCE: vessel has surface aerodynamic hull with tail fin and V- shaped rigid wing-sail mounted on it; wing-sail is swung from side to side around delta hinge by means of ropes with drive. Vessel has displacement buoyancy tanks. Surface aerodynamic hull is made in form ground-effect craft low-aspect-ratio wing. Displacement buoyancy tanks are provided with centerboards located on free ends of hull. Hull is provided with mast turnable around alpha hinge. Mast is provided with ring-shaped boom. Alpha hinge is located on wing of aerodynamic hull at distance from vessel CG equal to 5% of wing-hull mean chord. Delta hinge of wing-sail is located along axis of CG, at top of swivel mast. LH and RH surfaces of V- shaped wing-sail are connected with sail control handle by means of ropes and rods; this handle is fitted at the side from pilot's seat. Mast is provided with through cavity and blocks found on its for reeving the wing-sail control ropes. EFFECT: simplified sail control; system; increased running speed of vessel. 13 dwg
