FIELD: agriculture, greenhouse management. SUBSTANCE: the method deals with a peat substrate which is additionally supplied with Kemira-Super fertilizer, magnesium sulfate and dolomite meal together with chalk. At the same time, a peat substrate is prepared at the following ratio of ingredients, weight%: Kemira- Super fertilizer 1.3-1.9, magnesium sulfate 0.2-0.4, dolomite meal 9.0-11.0, chalk 4.0-6.0 and peat - the rest. Peat has a decomposition degree being under 10%, ash content being under 2% and pH (KCl exchange) being under 3.0. The method enables to increase a crop yield of tomatoes due to optimization of substrate's moisture capacity, increase of aeration porosity due to optimal ratio of not only macro- and microelements, but that of solid, liquid and gaseous phases in a substrate.
