FIELD: cosmetic preparations. SUBSTANCE: the method deals with a dyeing composition for keratin fibers, in particular, hair, which contains in appropriate for dyeing medium: a cation direct dyestuff and, additionally, a polymeric thickening agent taken from the group consisted of: nonionic guar resins, biopolysaccharides' resins of microbial origin, such as: scleroglucan or xanthane resins, those extracted from plant exudates, such as gummi-Arabic, Gatti, Kraja, Tragakante, Karragenen, agar and karub, pectins, alginates, starches, carboxyalkylcelluloses. The innovation refers, also, to dyeing methods and dyeing set. EFFECT: the composition suggested is less selective and resistant to different aggressive factors. 23 cl, 1 tbl
