FIELD: plastic metal working, namely manufacture of sphere-cone pins of steering tie rods and ball joints of front suspension of passenger cars. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes moving and stationary tapered tools, heating member and system for controlling rolling process. In order to enhance accuracy, to decrease power consumption, apparatus is provided with device for charging preliminarily cut blanks, rocking roller table for piecewise feeding blanks to rolling zone, said roller table has adjustable stop for fixing blank in lengthwise direction; threshold type blank temperature meter in the form of pyrometric pickup placed in starting portion of tapered tool and connected with system for controlling rolling process; and knocking out unit mounted in back portion of moving tapered tool. Heating member is in the form of high-frequency induction coil. Parts of induction coil and adjoining to it parts of different units of apparatus may be made of non-magnetic material such as non-magnetic steel.
