FIELD: wood-working industry, in particular, pulp- and-paper industry. SUBSTANCE: chopping machine has cutter disk with faceplate applied to cutter disk rear surface and adapted for transporting shavings from lower side of openings into zone, where shavings are caught by blades. Such construction allows rear surface wearing to be reduced and damage to shavings to be increased. EFFECT: increased efficiency by reduced noise level and intensity of corrosive destruction of cone by reduced heating temperature of housing rear wall and decreased contamination of housing interior. 4 cl, 5 dwg
