SIX-TO-FOUR POLE CHANGING WINDING Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

Abstract RU 2181921 C1

FIELD: electrical engineering; electrical machines. SUBSTANCE: proposed winding may be found useful for designing dual-speed motors in which number of stator slots is a multiple of 36. Winding has 18 coil groups , number of coils in groups alternating as follows: 2K, 3K, 2K, 2K, 3K, 2K, 1K, 1K, 2K, 3K, 2K, 2K, 2K, 3K, 2K, 1K, 1K, where K is positive integer number. Finishing lead 1 of coil group is connected to coil-group finishing lead 4, starting lead 4, to starting lead 7, finishing lead 10, to finishing lead 13, starting lead 13, to starting lead 16, starting lead 2, to starting lead 5, finishing lead 5, to finishing lead 9, starting lead 11, to starting lead 14, finishing lead 14, to finishing lead 18, starting lead 17, to starting lead 3, finishing lead 3, to finishing lead 6, starting lead 8, to starting lead 12, finishing lead 12, to finishing lead 15; interconnected finishing lead 17 and starting lead 8 of coil groups form lead 19; interconnected starting leads 1 and 15 of coil groups form lead 20; interconnected finishing leads 2 and 16 of coil groups form lead 21; interconnected starting lead 6 and finishing lead 8 of coil groups form lead 22; interconnected finishing lead 7 and starting lead 8 form lead 23; interconnected starting lead 9 and finishing lead 11 form lead 24. Four- pole winding is obtained by applying voltage across leads 19, 20, 21. Phase leads are delta connected. For changing over to six-pole arrangement voltage is applied across leads 22, 23, 24 and leads 19, 20, 21 are interconnected. Phase leads are star-star connected. EFFECT: enhanced utilization of motor dimensions at low speed. 5 dwg
