FIELD: machine engineering, possibly grinding of rotating or cooled fixed blanks. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of dressing grinding disc before grinding by extending disc segments by maximum diameter exceeding diameter of worked surface of blank; introducing non-rotating disc to container in which annular blank is housed; closing lid of container and starting feed of cutting fluid; imparting to disc reciprocation motion and rotation and, if it is possible, imparting rotation to blank; performing operations of rough, semifinish, finish and decorative treatment of blank at stepwise reducing revolution number of disc; then arresting disc and interrupting its other movements; interrupting supply of cutting fluid; opening container; removing disc; extracting ready part and washing out container for removing waste out of it; using flow-through container with axial openings in its ends for feeding and discharging cutting fluid along rotation axis of blank; supplying cutting fluid to grinding zone from stationary mounted pipeline through axial opening in end of container, through inner cavity of buildup abrasive tool and through ducts between grinding segments of disc. EFFECT: enhanced grinding quality, improved efficiency of process due to significantly increased pressure and speed of cutting fluid flow in grinding zone. 5 cl, 3 dwg
