TRANSPORTATION CONVEYOR Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: materials handling facilities; conveyor transport. SUBSTANCE: proposed conveyor has endless belt directed in both end positions along rotary drums and provided with carrying beams directed across direction of belt movement and traction wire ropes arranged at side of conveyor belt to take up loads created at transportation of cargoes. Two traction wire ropes are provided in indicated end positions which are directed along rotary drums and two which carrying beams are fastened by means of clamping devices by means of which belt is divided into separate sections. Conveyor belt is fastened to lower side of carrying beams and is made in form of tape with corrugated side walls whose bottom is connected to lower sides of carrying beams, and ends of corrugated side walls on sections between separate carrying beams are connected to side surfaces of carrying beams. Clamping devices are provided with springs, and rotary drums have middle section in axial direction to which conveyor belt adjoins and at side of which two channels are made to direct traction wire ropes. Springs of clamping devices are disk type. Height of carrying beams is equal to height of corrugated side walls. EFFECT: improved reliability of conveyor in service. 3 cl, 10 dwg
