FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method deals with preparing the granules out of mineral fertilizer and alkali metal humate isolated by alkali extraction from a humate-containing substance. At alkali extraction one should use sodium carbonate or potassium carbonate as an alkali agent at their weight portion in an aqueous solution being 1-2%. Alkali extraction is conducted at 90-96 C by maintaining pH = 8.2-8.4 and adding a surface-active substance at 0.005-0.01 wt.%. Mineral fertilizer is preheated up to the melting point, then it is supplemented with an alkali metal humate as an aqueous solution at the amount of 0.15-1.0 wt.% according to an active substance. Then the melt obtained is subjected to granulation in a vertical granulation column in suspension at scavenging with cold air. EFFECT: higher economy of the process, improved ecological safety and quality of the ready-to-use product due to broadened regulation range to control fertilizers' dissolving rate during their application. 2 cl, 1 tbl, 1 ex
